Mercy wants to be a dentist and benefit the less fortunate in society. "I want to thank the teachers and Fr Kiriti for mental and spiritual support"

Carolyne Makena


Carolyne wants a career in medicine. "St Francis has been a great place for me, good virtues, good role models, good learning environment, especially the teachers. I learned how to live a responsible life. I send gratitude to all our benefactors."

Teresia Wanjiru


Teresia wants to be a pilot. "The school was another home for me.  The teachers and my fellow students appreciated me. I love them---they are part of my family."  Teresia was the top performer on the national exam.

Mary Ngugi


Mary hopes to do medical research in the area of HIV/AIDS.  "At first I didn't want to come because there were so few students the first year.  Many obstacles have hardened us. We are so grateful that people from so far away care for us, especially the Kenya Help girls (in Menlo Park), who have enabled us to be here."

Effie Akinyi


Effie hopes to travel to the US to meet the Kenya Help girls. She hopes to be an accountant and wants to help people.  "I have felt very happy at St Francis.  I've been given moral values and have been able to share problems with other students and teachers. Many have been solved.  They strengthened me, encouraged me to try to reach my dreams."

Mary Waithara


Mary hopes to become a nurse. "St Francis has been a home to me, given me a real picture of myself. I now see a bright future for myself."

Alice Wangari


Alice wants to be a civil engineer and to do a project that will help people---build a school.  "From deep in my heart, St Francis has been my home.  I want to come back and tell students what I learned and what I felt about the school."


Deborah Muchiri


Deborah aspires to design clothing. "I always wanted to open my own business.  I want to be independent so noone will tell me what to do. I feel self-empowered.  St Francis has molded me spiritually, through seminars and workshops."


Mary Macharia Nyaikamba


Mary wants to be a lawyer.  "I want to represent the poor so they will have proper support in court. The school has changed me since form 1. I aspire to use the spiritual growth I've gotten here in my life. The teachers have been my role models, as have the speakers. Fr Kiriti has given us moral support.  The help with school fees has made it possible to be here."


Dorcas Kibor


Dorcas wants to study geography and become a meteorologist or geologist.  "I have learned a lot, especially in recollections, which have helped me to understand and appreciate myself the way I am."

Nancy Mithanga


Nancy is interested in medicine. "I want to help the sick. St. Francis has been a great school. The teachers have helped us with revisioning and with moral guidance. I want to thank Rebecca Bloom for the letter she sent and I appreciate the support from my sponsors."

Jecina Wangari


Jecinta wants to be a lawyer. "I want to help the less fortunate so they will be granted their rights. St Francis has really supported me in studies, how to socialize with different people and appreciate their culture.  I appreciate Kenya Help for building this school."

Maureen Andisi


Maureen wants to be a lawyer. "I want to fight for women's rights. St Francis has been a motivation for me because it has made me know that I have different capabilities and I should appreciate them. I want to thank all our supporters, may God continue to shower them with his blessings.”

Molly Kanyi


Molly wants to be the first Kenyan woman pilot.“St Francis has been an inspiration to me. It has made me know that in life, 1000 miles begins with the first step. I know we should not degrade ourselves, but should appreciate ourselves and others who have given helping hands. God will continue to bless them."
